The Effect of Shear Modulus Distribution on Amplification Factor of the Finite Soil Layer Laid on Rigid Bedrock
اثر توزيع مدول برشي روي ضريب بزرگنمايي لايه خاك با ضخامت محدود قرارگرفته روي بستر سنگي صلب
Abstract

The present study encompasses an analytical solution aimed at dynamic response of a continuously non-homogenous layer of soil, which is influenced by shear wave propagation from rigid bedrock which shear modulus function with exponential and first-degree function alters in relation with depth. In This paper the impact of shear modulus distribution on the amplification factor at the surface and resonant frequencies are subject of investigation. The yielded data have been compared with those that obtained previously, the ones in which the dynamic response of soil was considered in the conditions where shear modulus function pertaining to depth with a quadratic function variables or generally homogenous environment were held. The data revealed that the extent to which amplification factor at surface and resonant frequencies are influence by shear modulus distribution, when shear modulus at surface and bedrock as well as global shear modulus are held constant.
