The university is also a member of the International Association of University (IAU), United Nation Academic Impect (UNAI), International Universities Council (IUC), IU GreenMetrics Network National Coordinator and Steering Committe Member of IU GreenMetrics , and Asia and Pacific Islands Rural Advisory Services.

| University of Zanjan Presence in Joint Meeting of Academic Cooperation Between Iran and Turkey |

Dr.Yekta Saraj, chairman of the Higher Education Council of Turkey, as well as members of the council and presidents of eight leading universities in Turkey attended a joint meeting with the minister and deputies of the Ministry of Science, Research and Technology and also the presidents of ten universities in Iran. They exchanged views on expansion of scientific and academic cooperation among universities. Also, the formation of a joint executive committee was agreed in the meeting. Presidents of universities in Turkey introduced themselves and expressed willingness to establish cooperation with universities in Iran. The presidents of universities of Iran including, University of Tehran, Sharif University of Technology, University of Science and Industry, University of Zanjan, Urmia University, Sahand University of Technology, University of Applied Science and Technology and representatives of the University of Tabriz and Alzahra University reported on the status of their universities and also exchanged views on joint cooperation grounds. Dr. Jamshidi, the president of the University of Zanjan and Dr.Karamidehkordi, the director of International Scientific Cooperation Office of the University attended the meeting. Dr. Jamshidi explained about the academic status and educational and research capacity of the university. He also announced the University of Zanjan’s record of cooperation with Universities in Turkey. It should be noted that University of Zanjan has a memorandum of international cooperation with Hacettepe University in Turkey. Istanbul Technical University also welcomes the signing of the MOU. University of Zanjan has also visited the Universities in Ankara and the Middle East Turkey. |
